Ladies And Gentlemen,

 

 

I’m Saint-Louis Miselet. I’m 24 years old and I’m a Student finishing high school this year. I have one sister and she is Miselande she is 12 years old and my brother Millionel is 10.My mother is Juliana Charles. She is 45 and my father is Millionnais .He is 53.I live with my parents in the mountain of Bayonnais.

        

First of all, I finish  high school this year  but my parents don’t have any possibility to send me to college. In my class there were 20 pupils , only four students passed in 13^th grade .I’m one of them, if  it would have one pass it would be me.  Because  I’m the top. I would love to study medicine.  The reason  why I would, because where I live  which names Bayonnais  don’t have any hospital and no doctors to take care of the deceases. There are some very bad cases we  usually meet, that can make me cry a lot,  when the people are suffering a lot  and any doctors  in the area  to take care  of them, we  usually  have  women who are nursing babies got problem to get the baby out any doctors to give help, sometimes we are going to the city of Gonaives it’s about 40kilometers , sometimes they don’t even arrive there they die in the road. It’s a challenge I get in front of me to raise up  for my community generally for my country. We have two students who are studying now. I would be a third. In Haiti it’s very difficult to go to college in Haiti. We don’t have any government which of the Student .To tell you sure , there is very big problem in medical school ‘s government  faculty, there is a confusion between the leaders of the faculty and the  students, there are 35 students  I think who are in jail for 2 years  , some of  bitten it’s very big fight  between the students and the leaders. In the private Faculty it’s really different.

 

At last, hopefully, God in  his kingdom will open doors for me in order to realize the big fight I have in front of for my community generally my country.

       Before 1804, Haiti had known some difficult moments and after it became independance it keeps knowing troubles such as : Economic problem , Political problem ,Social problem, Education problem .And now , the other big problem Haiti made face now is the events such as : Seism, Hurricanes and others.
       I’m going to talk alot about the two hurricanes which have broken down Gonaives.
     
        
    First of all, from September 17, 2004 to 2008, Haiti made face by some bad situation. in 2004 by the cyclone Jane which broke down Gonaices, Many people died , many animals, many houses boke down, many stores and many cars.After four years Cyclones  » Hanna and Hick » came again to destroy the town of gonaives again.

 

      During the arrival of Hurricanes,Many people risque their life by taking their things  which were inside the house in order to save them, to go up in the second roof and for saving their children who can not go up themselves.By going to save them they also die in the water.There are some people who don’t live  in a house  which has a second roof. they onely live in house which buils with tin and mud.Many of them had not already saved or escaped their life by the time.The water breaks down their houses and goes with them too.
       Then,a case which is serious, we have an hospital called La Providence, there, there were many deceases, the water passedd and broke down the building and went with  them, Among those people , we had nurses, doctors.There were  who have already died and their family put in mortuary the water went with them.
 
        For those who are still alive , after the hurricanes, they were hungry , they coul not find food to eat, they could not find a way to sleep, those whose second floor  go up  and for those who don’t , go to stay on Hotel, where we find diffrent people, for those who go up could not go down in order to find food to eat, water to take bath and to drink, sometimes Heilcopter comes to bring them some water to drink where they were. Some of them who don’t find anything begin screaming with terror and they swim down in the water they kill themselves they spent lots weeks without  those thing they can not find to fonction.
          Into diffrent Hotel there are different people , students , teachers, Principal, murderer and others who lodge in the same way.

       In the Hotel Many bad thing can happen, boys and women by Sexe, they did not know each other,we can notice that they can get AIDS because they lie down in the same room.That can happen.

 
    After two those cyclones Hanna and Hick.The  town of gonaives seems with a swamp.At that time everything broken down,School, Bank and the other Offices .
            1) School
     As we know School is the one way that can help us to have a future better. The parents send their children to School to change  their family’s life. But due to the two hurricanes , School can not fonction.

 

        2)   The parents lost everything.

   
         They ask themselves.

     A: Before talking about the School openning, where will I find food  for taking care of My children?

    
    B:Where I’m going to get job to response with their needs.

    Every question we know someone can ask in that situation  they ask themselves .Where? Where ……….? During the two months they passed without going to school, now School is ready for them to go, where school suplies for the kids? they don’t know where they can find money to buy them.All of them would suppose to go to school already, they screamed with terror the fact that they still alive and they can not response to their children’s needs, as everyone of can be Father and Mother or you will be able to be Father and mother you can understand the situation they are now. The parents in Haiti always say: I work very hard to educate my children because I don’t want my children will be like me.

   Ladies and Gentlemen,

          Hi,

         My Name is Miselet Saint-Louis, I’m 22 years old and I’m in 12th grade. I was born in a poor fanily in Bayonnais ( Haiti). I’m a pupli and very smart in English. My mother’s name is Charles Juliana  and she is 45 years old, my father’s name is Saint-Louis Millionnais and he is 52 years old. My family is composed of 5,  my parents have 3 children, I’m the first born, my brother’s name is Millionel and he is 8 And my sister’s name is Miselande and she 10.

      Firstof all,  my plan  is:After finishing my secondary school is to be a Doctor in the medecine domain. That means to help people who are sick in my communuty .I pray God for that, eventhough my parents can not send me at college because they don’t have any  meaning to do that, I  beleive in God  and I invit him on  my plan.

        In my communuty we have no halth center, when people get very sick, they go to Gonaives a town which is so far from my communuty they take  TapTap to go there, sometimes they don’t even arrive at the hospital, the drop dead.

    I think if we have hospital and doctors, they can not be dead . For me  to be a doctor not to create money , to be a doctor is to help  people in the communuty . I’m keeping on studying, Chemistry and biology for being a doctor.

                  At last,  I ask : »everybody who read this text I ask please help me in your prayers . Your prayers can do a lot of things in my life. Thanks.

                  I do really appreciate Peter Daniel for the really good work is doing with us in Bayonnais. I pray God for him in order to keep him and his family in good health. I have no words to explain how big it is.
